This is a further black'n'white study I once made. The subject is the Plymouth Duster, which was introduced in 1970 as a compact, budget-friendly combination of youthful muscle car looks and economical family car standards. Built on the standard Valiant platform, the Duster afforded the people, who couldn't afford a real muscle car, like the Plymouth Road Runner or Dodge Charger, with something that looked a lot more slick than father's four-door family car, but which was affordable and provided a lot of the basic simplicities of the base Plymouth Valiant... which of course could be tickled up to be a big performer.
The Duster proved to be a popular car, and remained in production until 1976, during which time it saw a number of trim packages involved with it (Gold Duster, Silver Suster, Duster Twister, Duster 340, Duster Feather). Even Dodge came up with the Dodge Demon built on the Dart platform as a result, while Plymouth took the Dart Swinger to become the Valiant Scamp. Essentially it was a car that came at just the right time, which was only made more popular during the 70s oil crisis as both economical, but also a lot more sporty than the basic Plymouth.
The model above is the first year 1970 model, that is characterised by the fastback type bodystyle and its vertical twin taillight assembly.
Thank you. It's interesting that, regardless of the Valiant origins, the Duster looks quite snazzy actually. "Youthful with family values."

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
